Important Information
Here are some things you will need to know about the needs of our classroom and our school…
1. Dunlace is a NUT FREE school because of the severe allergies experienced by some of our students. Therefore, ALL food products that you send to school with your child MUST be 100% NUT FREE. Please make a habit of checking labels. Even products that “MAY contain nuts” should not be brought to school. Thank you for your understanding with regards to this matter. The children’s health and safety are of utmost importance.
2. All students must have a pair of INDOOR shoes that will remain at school for the remainder of the school year. Please label the shoes with your child’s name. If your child does not know how to tie shoe laces, please send shoes with Velcro closures. Children will not be permitted to wear outdoor shoes/boots in the classroom, as we need to do our best to keep our classroom clean.
3. Drop off and Dismissal is done promptly at 8:45am and 3:15pm respectively. Teachers are on yard duty as early as 8:30am and as late as 3:30pm. Children must not be dropped off or remain on school grounds unescorted outside of these hours. The main office staff are extremely busy during the school day and they are not available to supervise students outside of regular school hours.
4. We are asking that each family donate two boxes of Kleenex for class use. We go through tissues quite fast, especially in the winter months. This generous donation will be much appreciated.
